භෞතික හා මානුෂීය සම්පත් උපරිම ලෙස කළමනාකරණය කරමින්, ගුණාත්මක අධ්යාපනයක් හා බාහිර ක්රියාකාරකම් තුළින් සිසුන්ගේ සර්වාංගීණ සංවර්ධනය උදා කිරීම.

Chronology of Heritage
වඳුරඹ - බද්දේගම මාර්ගයේ ගම් සභා ගොඩනැගිල්ලක සිසුන් 10 දෙනෙකුගෙන් ගැහැණු ළමුන් ඇතුළත් කරගන්නා පාසලක් ලෙස ඇරඹුණි.
(Started as a girls' school admitting 10 students in a local village council building on the Wanduramba-Baddegama road.)
වර්තමාන භූමිය වන අභයගුණවර්ධන පවුලට අයත් ඉඩම වෙත පොල් අතු ගොඩනැගිල්ලක් ලෙස ගෙන එන ලදී.
(Moved to the current site, land donated by the Abhayagunawardhana family, and housed in a simple coconut-thatch structure.)
නිදහස් අධ්යාපනයේ පියා වූ සී. ඩබ්. ඩබ්. කන්නන්ගර මහතාගේ සහ වඳුරඹ සුනන්දාරාමාධිපති පූජ්ය හබරකඩ සුමනජෝති ස්වාමීන් වහන්සේගේ මැදිහත් වීමෙන් ලංකාවේ මුල්ම මධ්ය විද්යාල සංකල්පය යටතේ ඉංග්රීසි මාධ්ය මධ්ය මහා විද්යාලයක් බවට පත් කෙරුණි.
(Under the leadership of Hon. C.W.W. Kannangara, the Father of Free Education, and Venerable Habarakada Sumanajothi Thero, chief incumbent of Wanduramba Sunandarama, it was transformed into an English-medium Central College as part of the country's pioneering Central Schools scheme.)
Historical Heritage (ඓතිහාසික උරුමය)
පාසලේ ඇති පැරණිතම ගොඩනැගිල්ල වන්නේ "L ශාලාව" යි.
(The oldest standing building in the school premises is the historic "L Hall".)

ශිෂ්ය භට බලකාය (Cadet Corps)
පාසලට විශාල කීර්තියක් අත්කර දුන් අංශයකි. ජාතික ශිෂ්ය භට කනිෂ්ඨ අංශයේ තරඟාවලි වලදී දිවයිනේ ප්රමුඛතම ස්ථාන දිනාගෙන ඇත.
(The school's cadet corps is highly prestigious, consistently securing top national rankings in junior cadet corps competitions.)
ක්රීඩා (Sports)
ක්රිකට් (වාර්ෂික සුහද තරඟ/Centralist's Back2Play), මලල ක්රීඩා, වොලිබෝල්, දැල්පන්දු.
(Sports activities include Cricket featuring the annual "Centralist's Back2Play" friendly tournament, Athletics, Volleyball, and Netball.)

- The Lamp/Torch (පහන): Represents the light of wisdom, lighting up the minds of children and dispelling darkness.
- The Balance Scale (තනුකය): Symbolizes equality, justice, integrity, and the balanced development of pupils.
- Official Motto (ආදර්ශ පාඨය):"සිත්හි තබා ඇදුරු උගහා"(Having kept the teacher in mind, acquire knowledge to destroy darkness.)
- Primary Colors (Blue & Gold):
Blue signifies loyalty, integrity, and depth of character.
Gold/Yellow represents success, prestige, and the shining light of achievements.
